Professor Dr. Navadol Laosiripojana, Director of the Joint Graduate School of Sustainable Energy and Environment (JGSEE) at KMUTT, represented Hub Net Zero at the Thailand Talent Summit 2025: Fostering Thailand Future; Advancing Innovation and National Impact. The summit was held from 11–13 December 2025 at the Pattaya Exhibition and Convention Hall (PEACH) in Chonburi and was organized by Thailand Science Research and Innovation (TSRI) in collaboration with the Office of the MHESI Permanent Secretary, the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT), and the Program Management Unit for Human Resources and Institutional Development, Research and Innovation (PMU-B). The event brought together more than 2,000 researchers and university faculty from across the country.
The summit was officially opened by Professor Sirirurg Songsivilai, Chairman of the National Commission on Science, Research and Innovation, who delivered a keynote address titled “Empowering Talented Thai Researchers and Key National Infrastructures.” In his remarks, Prof. Sirirurg emphasized the importance of investing in research talent and highlighted the summit as a crucial platform for strengthening Thailand’s research ecosystem and enhancing the contribution of science, research, and innovation to national development and competitiveness.
As Manager of Hub Net Zero, Prof. Navadol participated in the session “Future for the Hub & the Hub for the Future” on 11 December. The brainstorming session gathered administrators and managers from the Hubs of Talents and Hubs of Knowledge to exchange perspectives, experience, and best practices. The session also featured a keynote address by Professor Emeritus Dr. Soottiporn Chittmittrapap, Chairman of the Science, Research, and Innovation Budget Review Committee for 2025–2026. He reaffirmed the original vision of the Hub Program initiated by NRCT—to serve as platforms for strengthening Thailand’s science, research, and innovation capacity by connecting expert networks, advancing specialized knowledge, and fostering collaborative solutions to national priorities. He noted that NRCT currently supports 56 hubs across diverse disciplines, including agriculture, engineering, medical sciences, the environment, social sciences, and the humanities, with an additional 13 hubs expected in fiscal year 2026. He concluded by encouraging all hubs to review their progress, identify challenges, and define strategic directions for the future.
Thailand Talent Summit 2025 also featured a wide range of activities, including seminars, scientific presentations, and an exhibition, showcasing over 500 oral and poster presentations and 100 exhibition displays highlighting outstanding research achievements.
The participation of Hub Net Zero reinforces its continued commitment to advancing research excellence and translating knowledge into tangible impact in support of Thailand’s sustainable future.
