Hub Net Zero Showcases Success of Carbon Management Platform Implementation in the EEC

Hub Net Zero, together with King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT) and key partners, announced the successful implementation of the Carbon Management Platform in the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC). The achievement was highlighted at a press conference held on 10 September 2025, marking a milestone in Thailand’s journey toward carbon neutrality and net-zero emissions. The event was led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Suvit Saetia, President of KMUTT, and Prof. Dr. Navadol Laosiripojana, Director of the Joint Graduate School of Energy and Environment (JGSEE) and Manager of Hub Net Zero.

The Carbon Management Platform is a comprehensive digital tool designed to support enterprises of all sizes in monitoring and reducing their carbon footprint. In addition to the data management tool, the project also provides expert consultation on technology adoption and strategic planning, and capacity-building programs through online training courses.

Since its launch, the project has made significant progress. In collaboration with the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA), the Thailand Institute of Scientific and Technological Research (TISTR), and the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), three workshops have been organized in the EEC, attracting more than 282 participants. Over 250 enterprises have registered to use the platform, reflecting the growing awareness and readiness of Thai industries to embrace low-carbon transformation.

The press conference also featured talks and a panel discussion on climate change policies, supporting measures for industry, opportunities and challenges in carbon management and climate technologies, and green finance. Distinguished speakers included representatives from the Department of Climate Change and Environment (DCCE), the Eastern Economic Corridor Office of Thailand (EECO), NSTDA, the Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organization (TGO), Siam Kubota Corporation, and FTI.

The event not only celebrated significant milestones but also reaffirmed Hub Net Zero’s determination to accelerate Thai industrial sector toward carbon neutrality and net-zero greenhouse gas emissions, ensuring both environmental sustainability and global competitiveness.
