About Speaker
Prof. Jeroen Guinée has been working at the Institute of Environmental Sciences (CML), Leiden University, the Netherlands since 1987, focusing on life cycle assessment (LCA) and substance flow analysis (SFA). In 2002, he served as the project leader and editor for a seminal publication in the field of LCA, the “Handbook on Life Cycle Assessment: Operational Guide to the ISO Standards” which stands as one of the most respected works in this domain. In recent years, his research has been devoted to ex-ante LCA and Safe and Sustainable by Design (SSbD), aimed at supporting the development of more sustainable and innovative products and technologies.
