On 28 April 2025, Hub Net Zero, in collaboration with King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT), the Thailand Institute of Scientific and Technological Research (TISTR), the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA) and the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), organized a workshop on Industrial Carbon Footprint Assessment and Reduction Using the KMUTT Carbon Management Platform at the Novotel Rayong Star Convention Center. Supported by the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) Office, the workshop is part of a broader initiative to support businesses in the EEC in advancing low-carbon operations through technology offerings, capacity building and workforce upskilling.

The event welcomed 130 participants from 50 companies, aiming to strengthen their understanding of carbon footprint management while providing practical tools to assess and reduce their organizational emissions. Booths and representatives from KMUTT, TISTR, NSTDA, FTI, and the Export–Import Bank of Thailand (EXIM Bank) were present to offer information on technology solutions and financial services supporting green transitions.




Mr. Chalermchai Cheerapan, Director of the Expert Center of Innovative Clean Energy and Environment, TISTR, delivered the opening remarks and a presentation on the importance of carbon mitigation in business. His presentation highlighted the key drivers of climate action, Thailand’s carbon neutrality policy, and its implications and opportunities for industry. He also shared examples of carbon reduction initiatives implemented by various Thai organizations and major industrial sectors.


Dr. Angkana Khuenpetch from TISTR introduced the concept of Carbon Footprint for Organizations (CFO), offering guidance on emission reporting and assessment processes. Dr. Chanakan Puemchalad, also from TISTR, presented on Strategies for Carbon Footprint Reduction in Organizations, outlining practical measures companies can adopt to reduce their emissions.
In the afternoon, participants engaged in one-on-one consultations with specialists from FTI, TISTR, NSTDA, and KMUTT. In addition, a special session was also held to introduce attendees to the KMUTT Carbon Management Platform.
